how does everyone feel about customer service? I had to talk to Steams today and it pissed me off they didn’t listen and just pushed me to the steam forums because “developers check their”. the only half decent customer service is had was with team 84 official. IS IT THIS HARD? Companies with resources up to god cant be bothered can they?
whats everyone’s worst customer service and best and why?
I thankfully haven’t had to use a lot of them, but my personal worst is Straight Talk. They got nothing done and I had to be on live chat with them, Mint Mobile, AND Samsung just to switch phone carriers.
We actually wish we could do more, but we do have such a limited staff that can help. I will say I have seen some get better and worse over time.
Playstation over I think it was 7 years now was pretty good from what I remember but more recently I had to help a friend with an issue and… it was not as fun.
I actually usually avoid calling any customer service unless something is truly unbearable so I can’t say I got too much experience outside of that.
You hiring? jk what do you mean you wish we could do more? How is it like? I want to try getting into customer relations and IT so I’m curious how it all works
Simply put, people are difficult machines. They need eight hours of sleep and only respond if something lets them know. I aware that sounds odd but basically, I am saying it can be hard to respond to everything when we aren’t always aware an issue exists such as a ticket or the site being down unless we are already planning on looking at it. In fact, we set up a new way to receive notifications if the site goes down so we can (hopefully) fix it faster. Yes, we use our site, so we find the issues pretty quick but that’s hours or even up to a day to notice otherwise.
TLDR: We are only human and it can be difficult to always be there.
